London Trip Planning Handbook

London Trip Planning Handbook

A step-by-step guide that shows you exactly how to plan your London trip — without the overwhelm.

Planning a London trip sounds exciting… until you realise how much there is to organise.

Flights, trains, hotels, tickets, packing, timing, and somehow you’re meant to know what to do first, what can wait, and what actually matters.

That’s exactly what this handbook solves.

Created by London expert Jessica Dante, it walks you through every step of planning your trip, in the right order, from the moment you decide to go all the way to departure day and shows you exactly how to do each step properly.

No guesswork. No missed steps. No last-minute panic.
No “wait, how do I actually do this?” moments either.

A London planning guide that tells you exactly what to do and when to do it.

Plan your trip step by step, without the overwhelm, missed steps, or last-minute stress.

Planning a London trip sounds fun… until you’re deep in Google tabs trying to figure out:

❓Should I buy travel insurance?

❓Is it too early (or too late) to book theatre tickets?

❓In which neighbourhood should I book my accommodation?

❓Do I need an attractions pass? Will it save me money?

Most advice tells you what to do… but not how to actually do it, or what matters and what doesn’t.

The London Trip Planning Handbook walks you through the entire process — step by step.

From the moment you decide to visit, to the day you board your plane, you’ll know exactly:

  • what to do
  • when to do it
  • and how to do it properly.
  • Know what to do at each step

Move through your planning clearly and efficiently.

  • Stay on top of everything

Keep track of what needs to be done and feel organised from start to finish.

  • Plan with confidence

Make decisions knowing you’re doing things at the right time.

About your London friend

Hi, I’m Jess, the founder of Love and London, and your London friend.

How exciting that you’re planning a trip to London, the city I’ve called home since 2013 🥳

After helping thousands of travellers plan their trips, I know how overwhelming it can feel… there’s a lot to organise, and it’s hard to know if you’re doing it in the right order.

That’s exactly why I created this handbook: to guide you through the entire process, step by step, so you can plan your trip without the stress or second-guessing.

FAQs

How long does it take to receive the handbook?

It's a digital download, so you'll get it straight to your inbox immediately after purchase. No waiting required.

How do I save the guide to my phone/laptop?

To most easily access your Love and London guides and to make sure you can always reference them into the future, you’ll need to download your files to one or more of your devices. It’s fairly straightforward but if you are not sure how to do that then follow these steps.

Get in touch with us if you need us to reset your download attempts as each guide can be downloaded five times by default.

Do I need to print it?

Please don't! This guide is designed to be digital. It works best on your phone, tablet, or computer, especially because there are lots of clickable links you'll want to use as you work through it. Save it to your device and refer back to it as your trip gets closer.

How is this different from the free London Trip Checklist?

The London Trip Checklist is a great quick-reference tool. This handbook goes much deeper! It explains why each step matters, when to do it, and exactly how to do it well. Think of the checklist as the overview, and this as the full manual.

Is this suitable for first-time visitors and repeat visitors?

Yes, especially if you've been before but still found planning stressful or realised you'd missed things (like booking theatre tickets too late, or not knowing about ETAs). The handbook covers the steps that even experienced London travellers often overlook.

How far in advance should I buy this?

As early as possible! The very first section covers things you should do immediately after deciding to visit London, like checking passport validity and getting travel insurance. The sooner you have it, the more useful it is.

Does this cover specific things to do in London, or just planning logistics?

This handbook is focused on the planning process: visas, bookings, budgeting, packing, timing, and logistics. For what to actually do and where to eat once you're there, check out our Itineraries and Casual Tourist Guides!
